The All In One Purestorage II is one of the best AC-coupled solutions available on the market. There are two available capacities, a 5kwh and 10kwh battery. Here are some key features of the Ac Couple battery.

Can you add a battery to an existing system?

You can add a battery to an existing solar panel system. You can get an AC-coupled system which can use lithium-ion batteries to store the energy. The All In One Purestorage II would be perfect for this. If you do not have solar panels, adding a solar battery is another great way to increase your savings. Depending on your energy supplier, you may be able to access off-peak tariffs which allow you to charge your energy storage system overnight using a cheaper rate of electricity. You could also use your system if there is a power cut.

In most systems either an additional inverter or a change of inverters will be required to allow the system to be configured to work effectively. If you would like to expand on your system you could add up to 4 additional Puredrive 5kw batteries.

The lifespan of batteries is usually a minimum of 10 years. Pure drive batteries have a 10000 life cycle warranty and a product warranty of 10 years. The lifespan also comes down to how often the batteries are used, if they are used very often e.g multiple times per day then they may last 10 or less years, if they are used once or twice per day then they would last longer.

How much can an average home save with a Puredrive system?

It depends on the size of your battery and how much electricity you use per year. If you have a Puredrive 10kw battery, you will be able to save more money. But if you have a 5kw Puredrive battery. Pure drive claim that you can save up to 85% on your electricity bills.

What is the best Puredrive battery for whole home backup?

The two best home battery storage systems which have a whole home backup feature is the Give Energy All In One and the Tesla Powerwall. Both battery systems have a 13.5kwh storage capacity and a backup output of 5kwh’s. They are wired in a similar way, take up a identical amount of space and can be installed outside.

Does Puredrive work with Octopus Energy variable rate tariffs

The Pure Drive battery is compatible with Octopus energy and most other variable rate tariffs. As your installer is commissioning your Pure drive battery they will ask for your tariff details and Pure drive will directly input this into the battery software.
